Rachel Ludwig Photography | Abbotsford Family and Child Portrait Photographer bio picture

Welcome to Rachel Ludwig Photography!

Come on in, grab a cup of coffee (or in my case, that would be a non-fat, sugar-free vanilla, earl grey tea misto) and take a browse through my site. This is where I share images from recent sessions, post updates about Rachel Ludwig Photography, and sometimes I even sneak in a few pictures of my own family.

Want to know a little bit more about me? I've been married to my husband Tim for 11 years, and we have three loud, crazy and fun kids: Ethan (7), Arden (3) and Hudson (1). I also love to take pictures. I'm a lifestyle portrait and wedding photographer based in Abbotsford, BC and I photograph a little bit of everything, including babies, bellies, families, engagements, boudoir and weddings.

Oh....and don't be shy! You can leave a comment, pop me an email or use the contact form at any time. I promise I don't bite. :) I'd love to hear from you!

Modern and Fun Redneck Christmas Cards | Calgary Portrait Photographer

Back in October I promised I would share the crazy and fun idea that I came up while on our annual Thanksgiving trip to Calgary to visit Tim’s brother and his family. While I was looking out into their backyard, I noticed the neighbor had a decoy deer and my head started spinning with ideas. It didn’t take much convincing, and before I knew it we were putting together outfits, pilfering Bart’s hunting gear for camouflage stuff and borrowing said deer and various deer antlers from the neighbor. Right near there house we found this great field with some trees, brought the quad and set up Bart’s tree stand (for those of you not in the hunting know…hunters set up these tree stands and freeze their rear-ends off up in the trees as they wait for deers to wander by).

Love these crazy Albertans…so thankful that we got to spend lots of time with them last year, and that they were game for my wacky ideas. I sure wish we lived closer, although I’m a wimp when it comes to the cold and they are wimps when it comes to the rain. So I’ll focus on being glad that we are only a day’s drive away and therefore close enough to see each other at least a few times every year. :)

Anyways, on to the pictures, and the resulting card :)
