It feels like just yesterday that Hudson was born, and now he is almost 6 months old! It really is crazy how fast it goes and how much they change in such a short time. He has been my easiest baby by far. He is super happy and content and is such an easy going personality. He has fit so seamlessly into our family, and I can’t imagine life without him and his sweet baby breath, heartwarming smile and wonderful snuggles. I am so blessed!

And, like the cobbler’s kids who don’t have shoes, mine often don’t get their fair share of pictures. But I received a lovely package in the mail from my wonderful friend Erica (and by the way, check out her fantastic digital products from 2Peas…she is multi-talented this lady) and in it was this oh so adorable hat she made. I think I squealed out loud when I saw it, and promptly insisted on a little photoshoot with Hudsie (as we like to call him ’round here, much to Tim’s dismay. haha).

The hat + baby = absolutely and completely adorable, wouldn’t you agree?

I think I’m going to print one of these as a big canvas…I can’t wait!

There’s nothing like a very brand new baby, and make that a very brand new baby that also happens to be my newest nephew (and for the record, that would make nephew number #13 on my side of the family I believe…boys are in abundance as I only have 3 nieces).

You may remember my beautiful younger sister Marg from her maternity pictures. Liam was born on April 1st…and I can attest that Marg was glad that when her labor finally started that it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke, but the real thing! And for the record…she is an absolute trooper. I won’t go into the gory details, but she’s one tough young lady, and I’m so darn proud of her. I had the opportunity to go visit them in the hospital today when he was less than 24 hours old. And call me biased, but I think he is absolutely adorable. He looks a lot like Marg did as a baby, I think he has her eyes, mouth and dimple (sorry to Jake’s family, as the Vanderpol genes seem to run strong!).

These are some very lightly edited snapshots that I wanted to share because I’m a proud auntie:

Poor little dude had to have some help with forceps, hence the mark on his cheek.

But he’s here and healthy which is the most important. And, still darn cute!

You may remember this sweet little girl’s mom from her maternity shoot a while back. It’s always so fun to meet the baby behind the baby bump! Abigail was just a little peanut…only seven pounds at birth (and I say only because all my babies were over eight pounds, and seven just seems to tiny to me). Anyways, she was absolutely adorable, and I loved seeing her family all falling in love with her. Being able to witness this special time in a new baby’s life is the best…I love my job!

I book between 2-3 hours for a newborn session to allow plenty of time for feeding and diaper changes…sometimes I sneak in a few shots during one of these breaks.

With a little help she was able to finally get her thumb in…it didn’t last for long though, but I think it’s so cute how she’s clutching onto her nose
