Rachel Ludwig Photography | Abbotsford Family and Child Portrait Photographer bio picture

Welcome to Rachel Ludwig Photography!

Come on in, grab a cup of coffee (or in my case, that would be a non-fat, sugar-free vanilla, earl grey tea misto) and take a browse through my site. This is where I share images from recent sessions, post updates about Rachel Ludwig Photography, and sometimes I even sneak in a few pictures of my own family.

Want to know a little bit more about me? I've been married to my husband Tim for 11 years, and we have three loud, crazy and fun kids: Ethan (7), Arden (3) and Hudson (1). I also love to take pictures. I'm a lifestyle portrait and wedding photographer based in Abbotsford, BC and I photograph a little bit of everything, including babies, bellies, families, engagements, boudoir and weddings.

Oh....and don't be shy! You can leave a comment, pop me an email or use the contact form at any time. I promise I don't bite. :) I'd love to hear from you!

Al & Meg’s Wedding

I was the official wedding photographer for Al (one of Tim’s younger brothers) & Meg’s wedding, and they were awesome! It was so fun to not only be able to witness their special day, but to be able to play a special role in capturing their day was awesome. And the best part was they totally trusted me, even after I dragged them through a wet and mushy field and made them stand against all sorts of grimy walls. And this was all while Meg was wearing her vintage wedding dress (made by her great great grandmother, and worn by her grandmother). Thanks for being such troopers Al & Meg!

I’m not done editing all the pictures I took yet, but here are some of my favorites:

Meg looking radiant. She was so calm and laid-back all day.

The aforementioned dress. They did some minor alterations, but it’s pretty similar to what her grandmother wore 63 years ago!

Some more vintageness….Meg received this piano as a gift from her great grandmother

Meg had wanted a country posie bouquet. I think they captured that perfectly for her.

Her grandmother putting her pearls on Meg.

Meg and her dad as they are about to leave for the church. Her parents have a beautiful piece of property with wonderful landscaping where they hosted the reception.

A slightly nervous groom.

Al and his brother Jeremy….two peas in a pod.

I may be biased, but the ringbearer and flowergirl were adorable!

The bride and her brother, the man of honor.

They got married in this beautiful old church, it was a great location for some portraits while it rained!

There’s was lots of kissing going on :)

Jill Beamer - that should say *and* the field one above it... and wanted to add how spooky it is how much Tim and his brother look alike!

Jill Beamer - wow Rachel - these are so incredibly awesome! I love the one with the polaroid the field one right above it.

Traci - I love these so much, Rachel. You have such an amazing style for weddings--you are gonna be HUGE!! (Those Bebbs should watch out--there's a new girl in town!) ;)
